How We Work - FAQ's

Who has counselling?

Anyone of any age can have counselling.

How can you help me?

We can help by exploring your concerns and helping you find your own answers. It is generally accepted that counselling can lead to positive changes.

What sort of problems?

Anything that has led to loss of confidence or affected your quality of life. This may be:

Relationship difficulties| stress| anxiety| depression| bereavement| trauma and loss| work related issues| sexuality| health problems... and many more both past and present

What is the cost?

We charge £45 per hour and the sessions are for one hour and usually weekly.

How many sessions will I need?

Some clients prefer to focus on a specific problem and choose to come for a short period (eight sessions). Others prefer to have open-ended counselling. We offer both, respecting our clients’ needs. This is discussed at the initial session when any questions and concerns can be answered.

What next?

Once you have made contact with Kent Counselling Partnership, an appointment will be arranged for the initial session.

What is your Professional Governing Body?

BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) is our regulatory body. Supervision of our work is mandatory and we continue to attend training as part of BACP’s requirements to fulfil our accreditation status.
